The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade (APBOT) is proud to announce Success on YOUR Terms: A Special Small Business Week Lunch and Learn that will be hosted in partnership with the Pickering Public Library. On October 22nd, two local entrepreneurs with very different business models will discuss what success has meant for them and how they got there. Our featured panelists, Jeff Quipp of Search Engine People and Brian Callery of The Callery Group will share their respective stories and then open up the floor for an interactive Question and Answer session.
Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) account for 99.9% of all Canadian companies and employ more than 90% of private sector workers. SMEs also account for the overwhelming majority of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade and are the foundation of Canada’s economy.
As such, the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade is pleased to support BDC’s efforts to celebrate the impact of Small and Medium enterprises with Small Business Week.
“At the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, every week is small business week,” said APBOT President Denise Jones, CPA, CA of Collins Barrow Durham. “That’s why we’re so pleased to partner with the Pickering Library to host this special event.”
BDC Small Business Week is a Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) trademark whose origins date back to 1979. 2015 Small Business Week runs from October 18 – 24 under the theme, “Knock down barriers. Dare to grow.”
Success on YOUR terms will take place on Thursday, October 22nd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pickering Public Library. The event is open to the public but attendees must pre-register at www.apboardoftrade.com as seating is limited.
