Business and Pleasure at Cedar Brae

Members of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade had somewhat of a double header on Tuesday evening. The Boards of Trade Act requires us to hold regular general meetings and there was a little housekeeping to take care of regarding our by-laws in order to be in compliance with federal regulations. Although it was a little worrisome, we eventually exceeded our required quorum of 35 voting member companies and were able to ratify the necessary changes.
With business taken care of, the fun part of the evening was underway. Attendees were very impressed with the new facilities at the Cedar Brae Golf Club and Executive Director Kathy McKay noted that the spacious and well- appointed venue was so new your could, “still smell the carpet.”
Andrew Morris and the staff at Cedar Brae made attendees feel welcome and well taken care of and everyone enjoyed a fun evening of unstructured networking.
