Government grant available – up to 10K for each employee

Canada has 1,107,540 employer businesses. 55% hire 1 to 4 employees.
Over 87% of businesses hire fewer than 19 employees.1
If you are a small employer, you are the driver of Canada’s economy.
But what are you doing to become or stay competitive?
According to the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, 91.8% of large enterprises maintain a website compared to only 41.1% of small businesses.2 Up to 74% of Canadians research and search for on-line products and services and yet, only 7% of small businesses sell goods or services on-line as compared to 22% of large businesses.3
It’s difficult for small businesses to find funds to provide the type of training that delivers information on the latest corporate trends, innovations, social media marketing, customer service, web development, etc. Some employers, especially in the trades, can’t find workers with the required skill-set.
The government understands that training is essential to business success. According to the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum, a $1.00 investment in training will result in an approximate benefit of $1.38 to the employer.
A trained workforce is good for everyone – employers, workers and the economy.
Canada and Ontario have allocated the funding you need to gain and grow your competitive edge in business. Through the Canada-Ontario Job Grant, 2/3 of the cost of training your employees will be reimbursed up to $10,000 per-person. If you have less than 50 employees and cover the cost of wages while training, up to 5/6 may be reimbursed.
This is a golden opportunity to improve specific skills of your employees, learn the latest trends in your sector, focus on proposal writing, strategic planning, marketing, human resources, customer service, bookkeeping or learn food preparation, safe food handling, fall risk, A-Z truck driving, or even the latest hair-dressing techniques. The list is endless…
You choose who you will train, who the trainer will be (eligible third party) and what type of training is required.
There has never been a government paid training incentive as generous as the Canada-Ontario Job Grant.
Unleash the potential of your workforce and take advantage of this opportunity while you can!
