Jeff Quipp of APBOT member Search Engine People Inc. will carry the torch though Ajax.

The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade would like to congratulate Jeff Quipp of Search Engine People who was selected to be a Pan Am torchbearer in the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay.

“I’m honoured to have been selected by the Board of Trade to be a torchbearer for the Pan Am Games,” said Jeff Quipp, 2011 Ajax-Pickering Business Person of the Year. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to run with the torch while representing our community!”

As a Presenting Partner of the Pan Am Games Torch Relay, APBOT Annual Title Sponsor OLG invited the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade to participate in the OLG Pass it ONtario Program which gives Ontarians the opportunity to be a Pan Am torchbearer. The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade selected Jeff to carry the Pan Am torch as it makes its way through Ajax because he embodies the core characteristics of the Torch Relay: community, celebration, participation and pride.

“Jeff is a champion in our community who signifies the spirit of a Pan Am torchbearer by encouraging cooperation and always striving for the best possible outcome,” said Denise Jones, President of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade. “Jeff is a strong competitor who coaches his employees to find win-win-win opportunities and surrounds himself with people of the same mindset to help reach his business goals. By carrying the torch Jeff will share the excitement and spirit of the Pan Am Games with all of us.”

The Torch Relay will start in Canada on May 30, 2015. The 41-day journey will share the Pan Am Games spirit in more than 130 communities and will make its final stop on July 10, 2015, at the Opening Ceremony in Toronto.
