Lunch with DRPS Chief Paul Martin

Community safety is an essential ingredient to business success. It is a well-established fact that crime drives away businesses. The ensuing hardship that results from this business flight leads to more crime. It is for this reason that the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade was pleased to welcome Durham Regional Police Chief Paul Martin for a special lunch event with our members.
In his 2015 Community Safety Update, Chief Martin showed the year of year trends in violent crime and crimes against property. Attendees were pleased to learn that Durham Region has a relatively per capita low crime rate and DRPS is working hard to address the criminal activity that is taking place.
The DRPS is committed to upholding a proactive, intelligence-led, problem solving approach. They have also employed a hub model to bring human services agencies together to solve local issues.
The Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade was pleased to partner with DRPS and Presenting sponsor UOIT to keep members up-to-date and in the know about the safety of our community.
