Partnering with Post-Secondary Institutions
Posted 6 years ago on · Permalink
Regardless of your business size or sector, there is certainly a business case to be made for partnering with post-secondary institutions. This month’s Lunch+Learn offered members an opportunity to get acquainted with the ways local learning institutions can help them leverage work-integrated learning experiences such as placement or internships and research projects and indeed how to leverage expertise and partnerships to recruit new talent.
The event featured Lindsay Coolidge of University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Tony Doyle of Durham College, Dave McGregor of Centennial College and Lori Buscher of Trent University Durham. This knowledgeable panel discussed the advantages and benefits of partnering with your local university or college, focussing on:
- Process, and benefits, of engaging and partnering with post-secondary institutions
- First steps to take in engaging post-secondary institutions and their students
- What resources are available to organizations
- How partnering with post-secondary institutions can add value to your organization
Our 2016 Lunch+Lunch series sponsor is Roughley Insurance Brokers Ltd. and hospitality support was provided by Durham Workforce Authority. The event was hosted at Homewood Suites Ajax.
