Tracy Paterson Returns as Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade President

AJAX-PICKERING, January 23, 2020 – Tracy Paterson, CEO of the Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation, was officially inducted as 2020 president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade (APBOT) during the Inaugural Reception and Volunteer Appreciation Night Presented by OLG. Ms. Paterson had previously served as president in 2006 and has been an active and long-serving volunteer of the APBOT.

Ms. Paterson was sworn in along with members of the Board of Trade’s 2020 Council, who took the oath of office administered by Durham Regional Chair John Henry, at Endras Lexus on Thursday evening.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be president of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade,” said Ms. Paterson. “2020 marks our 65th anniversary. We are proud of the role the APBOT played in building Ajax and Pickering into vibrant communities with education, energy, technical innovation, and service at the forefront. In the year ahead, we will continue to support our members by offering informative and engaging events, advocacy, and forging meaningful connections.”

In addition to Ms. Paterson, the following business leaders will be taking a leadership role on council:

  • First Vice President Analiese St. Aubin, Ontario Power Generation
  • Treasurer Glen McFarland, McGovern Hurley LLP
  • Corporate Secretary Melanie Walls, Elexicon Energy Inc.

After the swearing-in, the following volunteers were honoured with the President’s Volunteer Appreciation Award in recognition of their contributions to the Board of Trade:

  • Angela Baltkois, Big Rig Wraps Transport Truck Advertising
  • Leanne Paty, R & G Auto Centre
  • Paul Przybylo, Walker Head Lawyers

As is practice with all of the Board of Trade’s events, and in support of the social infrastructure of our community, donations were collected on behalf of one of our not-for-profit members. Luke’s Place was the recipient of a $800 donation.
